How To Wash A Wig
To keep your wigs looking fresh and new, we recommend washing your wigs after a few wears or when you see it getting dull. Washing your wig will bring your wig back to looking new. Be sure to only use products specifically made for the fiber of your wig. Follow these simple steps to properly wash your wig.
STEP 1: Detangle Your Wig
Place your hand on the inside of the wig cap and use a wide tooth comb to get out any tangles there may be in the wig.
STEP 2: Rinse
Place your wig under cool, running water until completely soaked through.
STEP 3: Rinse and Lather
Lather your wig with a small amount of wig shampoo. Make sure all the hair is traveling down in the same direction. Then rinse in cool water until the water runs clear.
STEP 4: Pat Your Wig Dry
Wrap your wig in a towel and gently pat dry until all excess water is removed.
STEP 5: Condition
Spray a leave in conditioner on your wig. Concentrate it towards the ends as this is where the hair can get the most tangles.
STEP 6: Air Dry
After conditioning, place your wig on a wig stand to allow it to air dry naturally.
