My wig journey began when I was 17. I was diagnosed with alopecia areata when I was 11. It was a very hard time for me and I tried wearing really thick hair bands for years until the hair loss became so extensive and I couldn’t hide it anymore. That’s when I turned to wigs. At first I hated them and I had to try different brands and styles to finally find “ME”.Now at 42, a working mom of 2 awesome kids , wearing wigs is just an everyday part of my life. I recommend vogue wigs which is where I have been ordering my wigs from for numerous years. They have always met my expectations. I love the monofilament wigs with lace front. They are very realistic and resemble your own hairline and scalp. My favorite brands are Jon Renau and Amore. They both make fabulous wigs. I most often order synthetic wigs versus human. The human hair requires more attention and care than I can give it.
