One of our favorite color trends that are here to stay is color melts. Color melting is a salon technique similar to balayage, ombre & other highlighting/lightening techniques.
A color melt is created by blending highlighting shades into the base and root color to create a more gradual transition and subtler lines of demarcation. The final product is a melody of complementary shades that seamlessly blend into each other for a lived-in look. A few of our favorite brands have picked up on this trend and created fabulous melted hues that we absolutely adore!
One of our favorite colors inspired by this technique is Melted Coconut by Rene Of Paris. It starts with Rich, Dark Brown roots on Soft, Golden Medium Brown graduating to Warm White at the tips. Truly, a stunning Brunette melt that looks even better on long, wavy styles like the Wren Synthetic Wig.
We didn’t forget about our Blonde fans! Liven up your look with the golden hues of Melted Sunset. This Rene Of Paris hue has Dark Brown Roots graduating to a blend of Coppery Blonde and Light Blonde with Platinum Blonde highlighted tips.
Americano by Estetica is another amazing Brunette melt. It also starts with a Warm, Dark Brown base that transitions to a melt of Medium Golden Brown, Pale Blonde, and Platinum Blonde painted highlights. Looks great on wigs with tons of fluffy layers.
