Overall Rating for Robin Synthetic Wig by Noriko - $127.95 | (based on 9 reviews)
Love this wig!By Cynthia from Richmond, TX on December 7, 2011 I love this wig - it is very long but also very light because it's so straight. It is incredibly easy to wear right out of the box. i did thin the bangs a bit as they were making me crazy and falling into my eyes but a quick snip with some thinning shears made them better. I got this in Nutmeg-F and it is way lighter than i've ever done - my natural hair is black but the dark roots allow me to wear this one without worrying about my dark hair slipping out and showing. I never thought I could have done a wig this blonde or this straight but I was so surprised to find that it not only worked on me but was very easy to wear! Pros:Pretty color
Great length
comfortable and easy to wearCons:Tangling as all long synthetics doI would recommend this item to a friend.SEXY!By Cindy from Florida on September 29, 2011 It's gorgeous! Feels soft and light. For a synthetic wig,it sure feels like a real hair and it's not shinny. I bought the color Burgundy-Rosa, just love the color and my husband likes the color too! The only flaw on this wig is the parting fibers on the side but it's not a problem,i'm sure i can find a way to fix it.Pros:color, soft, length, light weightCons:if it is not the flaw on the parting fibers, this wig looks and feels like a real hair. (not a problem for me)I would recommend this item to a friend.Gorgeous Wig!By Adrienne from Knoxville, TN on August 15, 2011 I absolutely love this wig! I bought it as a substitute for Noriko's Misha wig (which Vogue doesn't carry, unfortunately) which I had tried on at a local wig shop. I was rather uneasy about spending so much on a wig that I hadn't tried first, but I am so happy with it! It fits a little snug, but I'd rather it be snug than loose. I can do so much with it: leave it loose, sweep it over one shoulder, put it in a ponytail, clip it in a bun...and it doesn't look "wiggy" at all. The hair is so soft it doesn't feel synthetic at all. It does have the little packing fibers, but I can't see them...I wouldn't even know they were there unless I run my hand over the wig. My only disappointment with this wig was that it wasn't available in Chocolate Swirl. I was really hoping to get something with highlights, but ended up with Deep Chocolate which is just a solid deep brown. It still looks fabulous though. Everyone at work thinks I got extensions and I have gotten tons of compliments on how much younger I look in it.Pros:Beautiful and versatile style
Fibers are very soft
Comfortable
Cons:Color I wanted wasn't available
Fits a little tightlyI would recommend this item to a friend.only wearable indoorsBy Kim from mpls. mn on March 3, 2011 love the bangs, however, the top has those packing fibers and they are simply too many not to notice. The cap is a bit too big. Such a shame. I bought the nutmeg color and it is gorgeous but that is about it. Pros:color and bangsCons:The packing fibers.I LOVE this wig!!!!!!!!By Madalyn from Coral Springs, FL on January 30, 2011 When I found out that I needed chemotherapy the first thing that I did was go wig shopping. I had long highlighted hair and was looking for something that would look similar to what I was accustomed to. I had a widow’s peak so I was definitely going to need something with bangs. That’s when I came across "Robin" in nutmeg F. With the gradient color, I couldn't believe how natural it looked. I have been stopped in the supermarket by a stranger to ask where have my hair done. When i thanked her and told her that I was wearing a wig she was stunned. At my first breast cancer support group, I was asked why I didn't lose my hair with chemo. When I said that I did, and was wearing a wig, everyone stopped to write down the name of the wig and where I purchased it. It was actually kind of comical, and brought a sense of "normalcy" to the group. Here we were a group of young women with cancer exchanging hair or rather "wig" beauty tips!!!!!! The clincher was when I accompanied my girlfriend to an upscale salon to purchase her hair products and one of the patrons told the hairdresser that she wanted "my hair". When I told them that it was a wig the hairdresser had to come over for closer inspection and called over some other stylists to do the same!!!! My new hair is coming in course and curly and I sometimes think about cutting it off and wearing this wig forever!!!!! It is so easy and takes about 2 seconds to style. It is also more economical than my "real" hair between the color and the highlights etc.!!!. One of my friends bought this same wig just for nights out or days when you just don't feel like doing your hair!!!!! This wig has given me my confidence back and helped me to feel pretty and sexy through this devastating phase of my life. Pros:looks natural
Very low maintainance
cost effectiveCons:a little hot, but I live in south FloridaI would recommend this item to a friend.Nice "Mermaid Hair"By Shannon from Montana on November 5, 2010 Pretty fiber and salon highlights. Part looks squished no matter how much I shake it or pick it. It is not monofilament so it has the short packing fibers that look a little strange up close. Probably not a big deal in darker colors but fairly noticeable in Nutmeg F. Very long so lots of room to trim and play if length screams "hair extensions" for you. Because of the expert layering, one could trim to shoulders and still keep a nice style with face-framing layers. Unless you just really like the straight style (for wider faces), I would opt for the slightly more expensive Shiloh style. It has more body and a mono top. Pros:Nutmeg F is a terrific blond color (not too yellow or bright)
Soft fiber
Nice face framing layers
Nice fringe bang to hide hairlineCons:Packing fibers in part looks a bit unnatural in light colored wigs
I would recommend this item to a friend.Very pretty and sexy (!)By L from Central New York on September 16, 2010 Love how the hair is constructed to fall forward around the face and I love the bangs, they're not too heavy, they're a very light fringe. I also really like the length, it's longer than my natural hair was (lost it due to chemo) so I'm still getting used to it :) It falls alittle past the mid-back. In person the wig has more movement than it looks like it would in the picture, mine is slightly wavy (maybe from being shipped in the box) but I really like that. My last wig had very thick hair which tangled easily, this one has thinner hair which seems more realistic and much easier to care for.
My few complaints are that I don't like wearing both sides around my face down, it looks alittle too messy and in the way, so I've been pinning the left side back, which looks great but I'm still trying to figure out how to exactly pin it. The problem is that when it's pulled back it looks alittle "wiggy" up close and also my natural hair line shows which is darker and much more dull than the wig (thanks again, chemo!). I also had to trim the bangs alittle bit but it was no big deal, I'd prefer that to having the bangs too short. Also, maybe I just have a small head but the cap is alittle too big for me, not a big deal and not noticable but I'd for once like to wear a really tight fitting cap. The adjusting clips inside hold well though, unlike last wig where they'd always slip. They are no combs inside to pin it to your hair/cap so I've been using bobby pins.
I ordered mine in Red Pepper and LOVE the color. It's dark brown with dark red streaks/highlights throughout, it's like having the best of both brunette and red hair :) Although I have to admit the color and shine may look like I either JUST left the salon or it's a wig (I pretend I just left the salon ;) ) I don't care b/c it's such a fun color and it's a given that wigs are shiny.
My last wig looked almost exactly like my real hair, and this one's color has more of pop and is longer, my friends know I've been wearing a wig, of course, but it will be interesting to see what acquintences say. I guess I'll tell them I got extentions. (Sorry for writing a novel but I tried to include everything I would want to know and perhaps help out first time wig shoppers)Pros:Light bangs, forward fall, hair cut and movement, color, size adjusters don't slip, bold length.Cons:Front of the hair can feel in the way (maybe that's normal for wigs?), cap is alittle too big, no combs to attach to (real) hair/cap on the inside.I would recommend this item to a friend.Looks very naturalBy Naomi from california on August 6, 2010 WOW! it looks GREAT! very natural and I can't believe you are 50+. I am waiting on mine, I ordered it 3days ago I'm anxious to get it now that I see yours. Thanks for Picture.I would recommend this item to a friend.Very Versatile WIgBy Jennifer from UK on January 13, 2010 I bought this wig after much debate with myself. After a year of "Will I - Won't I" I did and I am so happy! I trimmed the wig to suit my age (50+) and added bangs cut from an old wig of the same shade. It's an easy wig to wear and easy to trim, as the style is long and very near straight.Pros: Color - Terracotta-H
(See my photo)Cons:Terracotta-H has been discontiued. This is a beautiful - true to life shade.
