I have thin thin hair. I also use this over a ponytail that is already wrapped with those common hair ties. My trick is to secure the wrap to the ponytail using two hairpins. I tuck the hairpin over the wrap elastic to UNDER the pony elastic. Sounds complicated, but it's not, and works great!
