Product Review (submitted on December 31, 2009):

I am 30 and have been wearing wigs for fun on and off for about a decade. Despite having a very professional consulting career, I still will wear different color and different length wigs to work on different days in between "wearing" my natural hair. Everyone is always guessing what wig I'll wear, and they are always disappointed when I don't wear a wig. I actually have the opposite problem of most wig wearers, in the sense that I have so much hair that it's difficult deal with. My own natural hair is super kinky curly and extremely thick. As nice as it is, it can be boring having the same style all the time. I've never had "thin" hair a day in my life, so I can't stand "thin" wigs, as they feel really weird and unnatural to me. This wig did not disappoint, it's very thick. I usually wear Raquel's Spotlight, which I own in 4 colors, and I get rave reviews on those wigs. People also love the Jon Renau Adriana wig when I wear it, people tell me it's the most natural looking. However I have found that with the Raquel Welch wigs, the hairline along the sides of the face is always back so far it's extremely difficult to cover up my own natural hairline. Therefore I was looking for a wig that covered my hairline on the sides a little better, which this one suprisingly does. Shoving all my hair up under a wig is actually difficult, and this wig fit well. It's a larger wig than any of the raquel welch wigs I have. Also I fell that the lace front on this wig is nicer than some of the lace front wigs that cost $100-200 more than the Long and Lucious. However the part is not a monofiliament part, so I would recommend a dark shade. I purchased the dark brown color, very pretty. I wish this wig was offered in blonde colors with the shaded roots for a more natural apperance. As much as I'm used to having an afro on my own, I found the top part of the wig to be very poofy, in the I'm-wearing-a-wig kind of way. I smushed it down, and throughout the day I will push it down. Aside from the crazy volume at the crown, it's a very nice wig. I usually get my wigs customized, and this one needed no trimming whatsoever. For the price, it's a good wig. If you love volume at the crown, you'll love this wig.
