Lyric Synthetic Hairpiece

For fifty years (!) I have worn my hair in some type of updo – sleek yet bouffant in the 60s, more natural in the 70s, curlier in the 80s … etc. However, my hair has grown progressively thinner especially along the front hairline and I thought that I would have to abandon my upswept hair for a full wig. To that end, I bought and have been wearing several wigs (see Mattie and Fame for reviews). I do like these short style wigs and they work fine, but I still longed for my traditional hair-on-top-the-head look. Finally I decided to experiment with a topper; so I ordered Rachel Welch’s monofilament Lyric in my natural color R38 and discovered – to my delight – that I could create angel’s wings bangs which disguised my thinning hairline. Now I pin up my hair, attach the Lyric topper, blend the bangs into my own hair, and then add more fullness to the top and back with a claw clip of curls. When my husband saw this new upswept style, he swore he had flashbacks to when I was in my twenties and wore my bangs exactly like this! (Of course, since he’s seventy-two, both his eyesight and memory might be questioned – but not by me!)
