A good tool to be able to see what the different hair colors look like. Computer monitors are not reliable
Pros:
It is a great tool to be able to compare all the different colors.
Cons:
Sometimes, hair strands with highlights are confusing because of the small size of the strand

These hair shades are the most true-to-life colors I have ever seen in synthetic hair. This tool is an ultimate must for matching a piece to your real hair. I found an exact match for my somewhat unusual shade of blonde.

I found the Color Ring to be indispensable in making my color decision. The online colors and descriptions, while detailed, were not enough to give me courage to order, so I took advantage of the loan program. I'm so glad I did! One of the colors I had picked online turned out to be good (Glazed Hazelnut R829S/+) and I ordered a hairpiece, which is unfortunately on back order, it is so popular! But the other color I had tentatively chosen (Mocha Foil R9F26) did not suit. Since the second hairpiece I wanted does not come in R829S/+, I was able to select an alternate with the aid of the color ring and the excellent support I received through live chat. I picked R830, Warm Chestnut. This hairpiece arrived promptly and I am wearing it to frequent compliments on how nice my hair lips, and NEVER a "is that real?". I strongly recommend the color ring loaner program for finding your color match.
Pros:
-Easy to use -Allows direct comparison of own color to hairpiece color -Less stringent return rules, in good condition with all packaging -Upon return I received mmediate credit toward my final purchase
Cons:
It took a phone call to find out for sure that I could take the ring out of the packaging and play with it (hold it up to my hair), as the instructions that came with it read just like the wig instructions, i.e., that it cannot be removed from the wrapping if it is to be returned.

This was wonderful to help me decide what color wig to order. I had tried to order a wig just by looking at the color on the computer but that didn't work.
Pros:
You see exactly the color you want for your wig instead of guessing. I liked that I could borrow the ring, select the colors that work for me and then return the ring for credit.
Cons:
There was nothing I didn't like about this ring.

With the color ring, I am able to have the same style wig in a range of colors that is flattering to my skin tones!
