I saw this piece in my color; dark-chocolate; The style was the closest to my own hairstyle I'd seen, but it said "wiglet" rather than "wig" and I couldn't tell from the picture what part of the model's hair was her own and what was the hairpiece. I searched the site, but could find no picture of the wiglet itself nor any information. Days later I saw this wig (though not in my color) in the non-clearance section with the review about seeing it on YouTube. A search by the wig name on YouTube brought me the information I needed to really want this hairpiece
The model appears to be wearing this like a regular wig, not showing any of her own hair. You also can't see what it looks like at the hairline where the part is. This is not a wig, but a long wiglet to be worn over your own hair to add volume or cover a thinning top, roots, or perhaps go an extra day without washing. Be sure to get a good color match or dye your hair to match the piece. If you wear your own hair down and parted you can put this on and part the monofilament top over your own part so your scalp color will show through the part. It looks quite natural.
In the first photo the wiglet is placed about an inch behind my hairline. You can see my thinner, gray-rooted hair part in front of the wiglet, but it blends pretty well on the left side. The wiglet hair is pulled back on the right, while my hair goes to the side, to let you see where natural hair ends and the wiglet begins. It's probably best put 1/2 inch or farther behind your hairline. another picture shows it on with a part and one shows it with some of my own and the wiglet's top hair pulled back off the face. The colors are way off in the photos as they're taken next to a sunny window. It's dark chocolate is a nice dark brown with subtle highlights that make the hair look real. The hair closest to my chin is my own, and the longer hair is the wiglet.
This does not have a full cap, so there's no elastic. It has five bending comb clips to clip it to your own hair. There's no pressure around the ears or nape of the neck. This is particularly good for me as I wear both glasses and hearing aids.
I really love this piece. It's so much more comfortable and natural looking than my full wigs, which are not monofilament. Now I'm looking for one like this in a little shorter style that blends with but doesn't lengthen my own hair. I could have this cut, but it's fun to have the option of longer hair.
