Cute, Comfortable And Way Better Than A Ballcap!
July 14, 2012
I have both HOPE and CASSIE (who I like to call THE DOMINIQUE because it looks like a sexy news anchor here in Houston) in chocolate caramel. I wore the Cassie style all during chemo, and can honestly say it gave me a great deal of confidence, and made me feel more empowered during this journey. Got the Hope style most recently to wear during summer vacation to keep the longer "hair" off the back of my neck, -which can make wigs get kinky/matty. This shorter style has worked out great. It's cool and comfortable and I even wore it on a sailboat recently without fearing it would blow off (I wear a fishnet type net underneath which also helps to prevent it slipping). My own hair is growing back, but it's not as thick on top as it should be yet, and I don't like walking around looking like Prince William with male patterned baldness. Surprisingly, the construction of the Envy wigs makes them cooler to wear than ball caps. I have enough hair growing back on the sides, so I can tuck this Hope style behind my ears and it blends in completely with my own twigs and makes for a more casual look. The colors contained in the chocolate caramel are totally believable. Looks like someone who might have had their hair colored and highlighted, and they even throw in just a few "hard to color grays" which I absolutely love because it makes it look even more natural. I wanted to hug the first person who asked me where I got my hair cut, but now I just say Thank You -)
Pros:
* Cool, breathable, comfortable, and secure. * Hugs back of neck, but not long enough to get sweaty. * Can be tucked behind ears for a more casual look. * They throw in just a few "hard to color grays" which makes it look just like real hair.
Cons:
* I dislike the fact that my own hair will NEVER look this good!
