Terrific Wig for Victorian Look!
March 19, 2012
I purchased this Wig for a 19th Century photo shoot in period correct costuming and it wore like a dream! I wore a large touring hat over it , and it looked very realistic! I have since worn it a few times out , and had many compliments on the wig. Lacey makes great wigs that fit well and look like real hair! Also , the quality is exceptional on all of the wigs I've purchased by them so far. I highly recommend them!

Medium brown is really dark brown...
February 24, 2014
..but this is a nice costume wig. It's quite large, but there is an elastic loop at the back that can be knotted to make it fit more snugly. If you plan to wear a hat with it, be prepared to find or make a large crown on your hat, as there is quite a lot of hair in this wig. The curls in the front can be worked back into the knot if you like. The picture shows the wig over the ears, but I think it would look unnatural like that.
Pros:
A good quality costume wig Adjustable at the back, so it can be worn by people with a full head of hair Reasonable price for the quality
Cons:
I ordered "medium brown" and got color "#6", which I'd call dark brown. Note that costume wigs are NOT returnable.

Wonderful Wig!
August 17, 2013
I ordered this wig for The Importance of Being Earnest and it was wonderful. It held its shape during multiple hat changes during the entire run of the show. It fit very nicely, and along with a wig cap, you could not even see my own hair underneath. It held up so well (though I did take extremely good care of it) that my theatre used it in the very next show (A Christmas Carol). I am buying a blond version to wear for Little Women. I would recommend this wig to anyone.
Pros:
Very nice color (dark brown). Fit nicely. Held shape.
Cons:
I cannot think of one.

I can't say enough good things about this wig!
May 11, 2013
First of all, I bought this wig because I portray a woman from 1908 on a regular basis; at least 20-30 times a year and I recently decided to cut my hair short. I needed a wig that could withstand many uses. I wear my wig up to 12 hours at one time so I needed something that looked natural and was comfortable. This wig is both those things as long as your adjust the elastic to fit your head and around the ears. This wig will slide if you wear a hat with it so make sure to wear a wig cap and pin well. I didn't care for the curls in front so I brushed them out to make a pouf and bangs in front. I have found styling this wig to be quite easy but it does need regular maintenance. After each performance, I put it on a wig stand, brush up all the stray hairs and tuck under bun, run the curls through my fingers to reform nicely, cover with the hair net and spray the entire wig with wig spray. To maintain the curls (tendrils), you can wet the hair with warm water and use foam curlers to re-shape and spray. If you don't want to use spray, I've found water based wax to be good for hold. I don't like to using spray always, so every second time, I will wet the wig to reconstitute the spray and smooth with my fingers. I've gotten many compliments on it and people can't believe it's a wig; it looks that natural.
Pros:
Excellent wig for the price.
Cons:
Not for the individual who wants a low maintenance wig

The title is perfect
March 10, 2013
I am using it for a titanic party - and it really is a period look
Pros:
Color was perfect
Cons:
Not that thrilled with the curls in the front - would rather have had it smooth with just tendrils

Decent mid-range wig
March 1, 2013
Not as nice as the "deluxe" version, but it will work for the stage. We are doing "The Music Man Jr." and I put this wig on a supporting character. It's not bad. The hair is definitely "costume" looking hair. But the style is good.

great costume
February 26, 2013
Wig worked very well for my 1890 time period play "The Incredible Mr. Penny packer".
Pros:
Easy to put on, comfortable, good coverage.
Cons:
Some of the hairs in the back fell easily and were hard to spray into place. The second week of the play I clipped them off but since there was enough hair in the wig it was fine !

Gibson Girl, circa early 1920s

I purchased this item to use for a production of The Music Man (Mrs. Paroo). I have purchased other Vogue wigs for other musicals including Guys and Dolls and Alice in Wonderland.
Pros:
So far, everything. Nice quality for the price!

Harvey Girls never looked so good.
April 24, 2012
Bought the auburn gibson girl wig for a historical presentation about the Harvey girls...but the event was cancelled....however....just wanted to say how easy it was to return the wig and get credit to my account back. Will always come back to Vogue for future historical costume needs.
Pros:
I loved the fit and color...perfect for my character.

Gibson Girl Wig
March 7, 2012
Of course I purchased this wig to wear in a show (Music Man, to be specific). As Eulalie Mackechnie Shinn, the Mayor's wife, I have many costume changes. I spend half of the change time smoothing the wig, as it tends to fall out in fuzzy wisps. The curls on the crown also are starting to droop and it's only been worn TWICE.. I hate having to spray it.
Pros:
It really is a beautiful wig when it is holding its shape.
Cons:

Gibson Girl Wig
February 16, 2012
I used this wig as part of a costume I wore to celebrate Arizona's 100th Birthday. I wore it under a boater hat--and it looked great. Some people thought it was my real hair.
Pros:
I found the quality to be good for the price, and would do business again with vogue wigs if I ever need another wig.
Cons:
I found that it works best to wear a hair net with it--otherwise the hair flies around easily.

1905 Here I Come
December 2, 2011
I recently bought two of the Gibson Girls theater wigs. My friend and I are in a production at our church that takes place in the 1905 and we both have short hair. Thus, our hair stylists can't do anything with us. I was very pleased with the wigs when the came. My friend's was a little "neater" than mine. If I have one complaint, it is that my wig is a littel "unkept" and strands of hair are messed up. However, our hair stylist can fix it up with wig spray. Over all, I am very pleased. It is axactly as pictured. Also, we bought a salt and pepper and a strawberry blond and both wigs were true to color. I would buy again from Vogue Wigs if the need arises.
Pros:
Very period correct and colors are true to swatches
Cons:
It was a little messy

I was very happy with the quality of this wig. It is perfect for the period costume I had in mind. My wigs were shipped promptly and I very much enjoyed my shopping experience with Voguewigs. Voguewigs in my opinion, has the most extensive selection of wigs on the internet .
