"Bargain" But Sufficient
March 15, 2011
I am a costume designer from Chicago/Evanston, IL, and I purchased this wig for a production set in the early 1700's. The style is perfect, the color options were great (I purchased Brown), but there is a reason this is the "Bargain Version." Ultimately, I am satisfied with the style, color, and make of the wig for what I needed it for, but it does kind of pale in comparison to the regular, $40+ Colonial Lady wig by Lacey Costume Wigs. The wig I received was a little less picture perfect than the photo provided on this website. even after doing what I could to style the wig according to the manufacturer guidelines, it sill looked like a bargain bin find. But it could have been worse, too. I always trust Lacey brand wigs, and I love buying from Voguewigs and will continue to do so. This is the FIRST time in 3 years I encountered this less than ideal product, so I have a feeling it is just this wig in particular. But like I said - it was sufficient for my needs, so I am not unhappy with the purchase.
