My hair is currently LIGHT reddish-brown, with golden highlights. Wanted this for special occasions to add fullness on top. Ordered rootbeer float, which claims to be a LIGHT gold brown with medium reddish brown mix. Also ordered the cocoa twist which claims to be a light chestnut brown with medium red tones.....WRONG on both! The cocoa twist is SERIOUSLY dark brown - could get away with wearing it if your hair is midnight brown color. Both of the colors mentioned are closer to the Fudgicle or Brownie color. The rootbear float is also a dark brown, and only a tad lighter when light shines on it to give it a dark-brown reddish look. If you don't order color ring, waste of your time and shipping ...the customer service is very very friendly, and would give 5 stars for that, but I am not happy with the company for misrepresenting the colors. May purchase the human hair version, so I can at least color it. I am assuming I will have to order peach tart or even a blond color and then darken it to my liking.

    Pros

seems like it will work with some cutting and styling.

    Cons

colors are at least several shades darker than shown or described.

Fantastic experience with this company. I was able to order via them after I knew the product I wanted and needed from a local retailer. Low and behold - I saved almost HALF! Yahooo....super courtesous on the phone and very helpful. Product came without a hitch and I can't wait for my budget to allow me MORE, MORE, MORE. Great return policy - you won't be disappointed. But do yourself a favor and find a local vendor to try on and color choose - then be smart and come here to order!

I really like this piece, it's almost like human hair, it is heat friendly so it can be curled or straitened, it's very light weight and natural. It looks like your scalp on the part, although you have to work with it so you don't see the very edge. (I got color:4, Brownie Finale)

    Pros

Perfect for thin hair to add volume, and very Natural.

    Cons

Have to work with it a bit to blend with your own hair because you can see the very edge of the piece, so zig zag parting works nicely.

It fills in on top where my hair is thin and is easy to put in. No problem securing it either. Would recommend.

    Pros

Looks natural, easy to put in, secure.

    Cons

Rosalie asked:

I have this piece and have not been able to get it to take a curl! I have a curling iron which I have set to 350. I've tried multiple times and each time it falls back pin straight! Should I be using a styling product like mousse? I don't want to cut in short bangs but It keeps falling straight down in front of my eyes!!! It wont even stay swept to one side!
Thanks for any advice,
Rosalie

A.
Hair Gurus: Hello Rosalie,

With heat defiant synthetic fiber it is important to us about 300 degrees Fahrenheit on one inch sections at a time. Once you have curled the one inch piece you will want to pin the curl and let it cool completely before letting the section loose. If you have any additional questions please let us know.
